The "From Within" exhibit at AD&A museum in Santa Barbara (Sept. 23- Dec. 17th 2023) spotlights architect Helena Arahuete, known for her sensitive integration of organic architecture principles with modern sustainability. Arahuete's work harmonizes functional needs, environmental elements, and project surroundings, creating fluid profiles blurring architecture and landscape. With roots from Argentina and extensive experience at John Lautner's LA office, Arahuete's unique approach adapts organic ideals to technology and personal values. The exhibit showcases her domestic projects, expanding architectural history beyond male-focused narratives. Curated by Silvia Perea and made possible by Mr. Ron Burkle and the AD&A Museum Council, the retrospective celebrates Arahuete's architectural legacy.
